BRAD PAISLEY’S VIDEO CUTTING EDGE

For most of Brad Paisley's career he's been one of the most visually save, hands-on creators of some of the most unique country videos ever, animating many himself.

Now, with his single "American Saturday Night," he takes music videos a quantum leap forward visually tapping into cutting edge technology

Over 20,000 still photos were used to build the 2.5D world that includes Paisley, his band (The Drama Kings), and over 100 “extras.”  Several shoots were done with a green screen and the final look is as if the whole video is a “pop-up book.”  The feat was completed in just four weeks with a team of less than ten people.  Branded Picture Company produced the video.

“American Saturday Night” is currently No. 8 on Billboard and MediaBase country singles charts.  “American Saturday Night” is airing on CMT and GAC and you can also view on bradpaisley.com.

Wayne has put just over 300 miles behind him, as he passed through Memphis, Tennessee on Tuesday, Jan. 19. Jimmy stopped to talk to Channel 3 as he headed out of town. "If you are going to make a statement, make a grand statement, something that is going to get someone's attention," he said, "and I don't regret setting out on this trek in one of the coldest winter's we've had in 14 years. That just put more emphasis on the campaign." The singer, who has had three top-ten hits including the number one smash "Do You Believe Me Now," says there have been several nights where he slept on the side of the road and woke up with ice on his sleeping bag.

The singer is thankful to fans who have stopped to give him food and coffee, offered to walk with him or let him stay in their home overnight.  In addition to raising awareness, Jimmy is raising money for the Monroe Harding House in Nashville, which provides services for teens and children, and Home Base Youth Services, a Phoenix organization that help teens who are old enough to move out of the foster care system. His "Meet Me Halfway" walk is taking him to Phoenix, which means he has another 1400 miles to go. "It's going to be touch," he admits, but he's determined to keep walking.

ALSO,
Jimmy Wayne joins Chuck Long and Becca Walls for this week’s The Country Vibe with Chuck and Becca.  Wayne, who is currently on a 1660-mile trek across America to raise awareness about kids who age out of the foster care system and can be come homeless, discusses how being on the streets as a teen shaped the person he is today.

The Country Vibe with Chuck and Becca can be seen on AMG-TV, Fridays at 6:30 p.m. (EST).

LUKE BRYAN'S ALBUM TITLE SONG REFLECTS HIS STYLE

"Doin' My Thing" is the title of the album and the minute I heard the song and I immediately thought it as something I had to record. It just fit so much the way I stroll through life. Most of the advice I got when I was young and in Nashville was 'Be yourself, be true to what you are and, in the end, that'll get you as far as you need to go."
And that kind of my deal, doing my thing and my kind of music and it was a fun song to hear at  it puts a big ol' smile on your face."

COUNTRY CARES FOR ST. JUDE KIDS IN 3RD DECADE

Country music artists, industry leaders and radio stations descended on the “Home of the Blues” last week to kick off the annual Country Cares for St. Jude Kids radio fundraising program. Country Cares unites the music industry and has raised more than $365 million since its inception to help St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital find cures and save children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases.

More than 650 participants from across the country attended the seminar, including artists like Carrie Underwood, Jewel, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Steve Azar, Danny Gokey, Little Big Town, Darryl Worley, Joe Nichols and Randy Owen of the GRAMMY® Award-winning group ALABAMA. Owen co-founded Country Cares in 1989 after meeting St. Jude founder Danny Thomas, who asked him to spearhead an effort within the country music industry to help cure childhood cancer.

“There's nothing like St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. There's nothing like the St. Jude Country Cares program,” Owen said. “This is the most important thing I've done in my life besides take care of my wife and children.”

JO DEE MESSINA TO REGENCY HOTEL SHOW

A few weeks before the release of UNMISTAKABLE--her first album in five years--multi-platinum and Grammy-nominated country singer/songwriter JO DEE MESSINA will perform a very special five-night, seven-show residency at New York City’s intimate Feinstein’s at the Regency Hotel Tuesday, March 16 through Saturday, March 20 (with two shows 3/19 & 3/20). JO DEE will take to the stage with a few shows next month before her tour gets fully underway March 11 in Missouri, with dates booked through October (the dates announced so far are listed below).

ALSO..

JO DEE will release her single “That’s God,” off her UNMISTAKABLE album (Curb), on January 25. She wrote the song--which highlights her signature soaring voice--with keyboardist Brent Rader after she had an epiphany while taking her son on a walk at a majestic tour stop in Canada.  “That song really is my soul on a page,” says JO DEE.  “My son Noah was five months old at the time, and we were walking down this path and could see this snow-capped mountain that was enormous, but you felt like you could just reach out and touch it.  I looked at my son and that mountain and said, ‘That’s God.’”  That night on stage, she told the story to the audience and afterwards, Rader suggested they put that moment and feeling to song.  To hear “That’s God” and JO DEE tell the story behind it, click here: http://www.jodeemessina.com/index.splash.php?file=JDMTG-Radio.
