CHESNEY'S NEW ONE DEBUTS AT #15
Kenny Chesney's new release, "The Boys of Fall" has scored already with a debut showing at #15.
“Boys of Fall” was inspired by the Casey Beatherd and David Turbull song that became the first single from Chesney's eagerly anticipated Sept. 28 release Hemingway's Whiskey.
“Having played football, I know how true that song felt to me," says Kenny. That song is real not just for anyone who's ever played… but for the Moms driving their kids to peewee football, for the guys at the barber shop talking about this year's team at the local school, for the kids on the sidelines cheering and certainly for anyone who's ever coached little kids, junior high schoolers, certainly high school players coming into their own.
NFL COACH HELPED WITH KENNY'S VIDEO
When they made the video for the song, Kenny went for a real NFL coach to help out.
"When we made the video - and we took (New Orleans Saints coach) Sean Payton back to his high school to give the speech to the team where he'd played, he said the same thing. How powerful those memories are, how they stay with you always - and that no matter where you go, those lessons will continue to guide you.”
Look for Hemingway's Whiskey to hit record stores and iTunes Sept. 28.
AMERICAN IDOL'S KRIS ALLEN BIG FAN OF KEITH URBAN
cf.com ZAP2IT.COM REPORTS THAT American Idol Kris Allen can count on at least one music superstar -- Keith Urban -- if he needs anything for his resume. "We've done a few shows, and we have a couple more coming up," Urban tellsZap2it. "He's great! I love him. He's just got a good, real singer-songwriter vibe about him, and he's really finding his own way. He has a great voice and a good heart, and I like him immensely."
Urban considers the "American Idol" approach valid.
"Every artist is going to find his way, and you never know how it's going to come. I was just reading about Christina Perri, this girl who recorded one song, and somebody slipped her demo to the producers of 'So You Think You Can Dance.' They used it for one of the dance sequences, and the next day, it sold 100,000 copies. She's off and running now.
"It's amazing how it happens, but ultimately, I think there's no quick road to learning your craft. If you can get on something like 'American Idol' and launch your career, though, have at it. It's a different world these days, and I think you have to take any opportunity that comes."

FLYNNVILLE TRAIN BACK ON TRACK, WITH NEW TRACK, NEW LABEL
After asking out of their contract with Toby Keith's Show Dog label, Flynnville Train is releasing a new album titled, Redemption, on their new label, Next Revolution Records.
About the label change Brian told us, "We left Toby's Show Dog label, we didn't send him a letter or email or call, we went and met with him directly. And, the only problem we had was we wanted to do our music old style, we wanted to put out records not just singles and it was just time for us to move on. We asked Toby to let us go and he looked at us like were crazy then he said, 'Well that's me that's like my career I changed'...and he left it saying 'Well if you need anything just give me a call'..so what a great guy."
The debut single "Preachin' To The Choir" is certainly a song for the times addressing the price of Gas, politicians you can't trust, if you honor the flag, etc., you're preaching to the Choir. It's one of their most accessible albums with an amazing love ballad, and a tune called ,"33 Steps," a tribute to the 33 steps between the Ryman and Tootsie's taken by founding legends like Patsy and Hank Sr. (We asked if it made a difference which direction the stars were walking, to or from Tootsie's, wondering if ole Hank's trip from Tootsies to the Ryman took 66 steps?
ZAC BROWN BAND'S 'YOU GET WHAT YOU GIVE' OUT SEPT. 21
'You Get What You Give,' the much-anticipated studio album from Best New Artist GRAMMY winners Zac Brown Band, on September 21.
The album features a genre-defying collection of songs that the band has been testing on the road over the past year. Stand out tracks include: the somber piano-driven early fan favorite "Colder Weather," the reggae-leaning, jam-inducing "Who Knows," and a harmony-laced lesson on the merits of chasing after love "As She's Walking Away."
Zac Brown notes that the new album "is representative of where we are right now. It combines elements of our southern rock and country roots, but also stays true to our jam-band style musicianship from the live show."
Zac Brown Band is touring throughout the summer and joining Dave Matthews Band on several remaining dates: July 16 & 17 - Citi Field - New York, NY July 23 - Nationals Park - Washington, DC
