RASCAL FLATTS ANNOUNCE 2011 SUMMER TOUR “FLATTS FEST”

Rascal Flatts has announced the launch a brand new tour this summer, “Flatts Fest,” on June 18th in Bristow, Virginia with opening acts Sara Evans, Easton Corbin and Justin Moore. The tour is currently slated to run through September with approximately 24 shows.
 
The “Flatts Fest” tour will include a new stage production design and set list with a high-energy stage show Rascal Flatts fans have come to expect.  The tour will also include an interactive pre-show festival atmosphere and tailgating experience, with activities spread throughout the plaza and parking areas for all fans who want to make a whole afternoon/evening of the show.  Plans include a mobile karaoke vehicle, carnival games, photo booths, putt putt golf, food vendors, and plenty of exciting contests.  More detailed information will be provided closer to the start of the tour.

MIRANDA LAMBERT BACK HOME IN TEXAS FOR 73,811 FANS
 
Miranda Lambert loved being back home in Texas thanks to the warm welcome she got from the Texas size, sellout crowd of 73,811 Tuesday night at the Houston Rodeo. It’s the largest crowd of the rodeo this year. The Texas-native, singer-songwriter whose current platinum album Revolution has been nothing less than! She’s currently enjoying her 4th consecutive Top 10 single from the album with “Heart Like Mine.”
“It's good to be back home in Texas,” gushed Lambert, who started playing bars at 17 years old including Houston’s own Firehouse Saloon. “I think there were about seven people there at that first concert,” she joked.

Newcomers Laura Bell Bundy, Sarah Darling, Bradley Gaskins and Casey James will also be featured.

TO RAISE AWARENESS FOR COPD & TUNE UP FOR COPD SONGWRITING COMPETITION
 
Billy Ray Cyrus will make two national television appearances when he appears on ABC Networks’ “The View” this Friday, March 18 and on “Good Morning America” on Monday, March 21.
 
As a spokesperson for the DRIVE4COPD campaign, Cyrus is speaking out about chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). During the upcoming television appearances, Cyrus will talk about the cause and the Tune Up for COPD Songwriting Competition, hosted by DRIVE4COPD and the County Music Association (CMA). The competition challenges Americans to create a new DRIVE4COPD song to help raise awareness of COPD.
 
The winning entry will be chosen by a panel of judges, including Cyrus, industry experts and members of DRIVE4COPD partnering organizations. The winner will have the opportunity to perform his or her song at the CMA Music Festival in Nashville, Tenn. Cyrus will be on-site during the Festival, taking place June 9-12.
 
COPD includes chronic bronchitis, emphysema, or both. It is a progressive disease that makes it harder and harder to breathe because less air is able to flow in and out of the lungs.
 
Cyrus will also perform the National Anthem this Sunday, March 20 at the NASCAR® race at Bristol Speedway, and will be hosting and starring in the upcoming TLC series “Homecoming,” a summer television series that will reunite troops from Afghanistan and Iraq with their families (airdate is TBA).

KIP MOORE HAS GOOD FIRST-WEEK DEBUT OF
“MARY WAS THE MARRYING KIND”
 
Nashville singer/songwriter Kip Moore is having an impressive first week at country radio with his debut single, “Mary Was the Marrying Kind,” becoming the fourth most-added song this week.
 
The song, which was released to radio on Monday, is receiving tremendous response at country radio for a debut artist, ranking behind only superstars Taylor Swift, Brad Paisley and Toby Keith in most adds at country radio with 22 stations, according to Country Aircheck.
 
“This early reception is a complete shock, to be honest,” Moore says. “There is nothing more flattering than when someone appreciates something you wrote and put your heart and soul into. There’s not a greater compliment in the world than having people at radio who listen to music every day pay attention to your lyrics and enjoy what you do.

LEE BRICE PARTNERS WITH NRACOUNTRY

Three-time ACM nominee Lee Brice is the latest addition to the NRACountry family of country music stars.  NRACountry is a partnership between the National Rifle Association and the hottest talent in country music.  Lee joins fellow country musicians Trace Adkins, Luke Bryan, Justin Moore and Blake Shelton among others.   
 
NRACountry held its kickoff event in June during the 2010 CMA Music Festival with a sporting clay shoot fundraiser, which raised $30,000 towards the Middle Tennessee flood relief efforts.  It is charity events like these that encouraged Lee Brice to join the NRACountry team.  “After seeing the strong ties that NRACountry has to charity work and the classic American values they’re celebrating, of course I agreed to take part,” Brice stated, “I stand behind their work and am excited to begin this partnership.”
