MIRANDA LAMBERT ANNOUNCES NEW TOUR AND ALBUM

ImageMiranda Lambert had a lot to talk about yesterday when she met the press in Nashville, including talking about her new album and headlining tour.

Miranda’s fourth album, cleverly titled FOUR THE RECORD, will bow in a 14-song Limited Deluxe Edition on November 1st. The first single from the record is “Baggage Claim,” a song Miranda describes, “I’m so ready for fans to hear it, it’s a groovy song and I’m glad it’s the first single.”

With Miranda releasing a new album and getting ready to hit the road, while husband, Blake Shelton, has been working hard to help promote his recording of the title song for the re-make of the film “Footloose,” we asked her how that’s affecting their time together? Miranda told us, “It’s tough, we aren’t seeing that much of each other but we’re use to it. That’s been our life since we’ve been together.  But now I think we’re both ready slow down and be married because we kind of got married and went our separate ways. But we make it work, we try to, wherever the other is, to get there if we can and I feel like this is the thing that we both love and we understand both lives because we have the same one.”

ABOUT THE TOUR..Miranda tells us, “The tour is called, ‘On Fire’, and I’m bringing Chris Young and Jerrod Niemann to open, Chris and I are friends and he’s doing great right now so we thought that would be a good match.”
The ON FIRE tour will kick off January 12th in Rockford, Il.

BRAD PAISLEY ANNOUNCES “THE CAMOBUNGA! 2012 WOLRD TOUR

After recently wrapping his highly successful 2011 tour Brad Paisley has announced his tour for next year – “The Camobunga! 2012 World Tour” presented by Chevy. The tour kicks-off Jan. 12 in Grand Rapids, MI with special guests The Band Perry and Scotty McCreery.

Paisley’s explanation on how he arrived at the tour name:
“Camobunga :n; : //kam,bunga/ -  The name of a live musical tour experience. A mind blowing blend of country, fiery 60's surf guitar acrobatics, futuristic special effects, retro heart and soul, and mind altering liquid beverages. The spirit of the deep woods meets the breakneck excitement of the California coast.

Etymology of the word Camobunga :
camouflage - N: /kamfläZH/ -fabric w/ splotches of green, brown, black & tan, meant to make the wearer of this pattern hard to distinguish from the background;(or possibly stand out as a redneck). And Brad Paisley's latest single.
cowabunga
(exclamation): Originated as a greeting by Chief Thunderthud on the 50's cowboy puppet tv program "The Howdy Doody Show", was later adopted by surfers in the 60's.”
