Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn of the multi-platinum duo Brooks & Dunn are teamed up with volunteers from The Home Depot, Academy of Country Music and KaBOOM! to build two Imagenew playgrounds in just one day in Shreveport, La., and Nashville, Tenn. Brooks & Dunn are living up to their 2007 Home Depot Humanitarian Award presented to them at the 42nd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards. The award recognizes country music artists who serve others, have a generous spirit and help build the dreams of those in need. In addition to recognition at the Awards show, the Humanitarian Award recipients are honored with a KaBOOM! playground donated by The Home Depot built in the city of their choice. Brooks & Dunn selected Shreveport and Nashville as the sites for their playgrounds to be built on the same day Thusday, October 25th.  Kix Brooks is a native of Shreveport.

The duo will built the Shreveport playground from 8:30 to 10:45 at the Shreveport-bossier Community Renewal Friendship House, and return to Nashville to build the one there between 1:30 and 3:30pm at The Edgehill Center.
