Toby Keith will appear on the "Ellen Show" Thursday where he sang a Christmas song and talk about his cool, double CD Classic Christmas album that is in stores now.
Toby@"Ellen" show Back stage at the Ellen Show taping yesterday, Toby told us the music style of the album was influenced by the music on his "Broken Bridges" movie soundtrack album.
"I had so much fun making the Broken Bridges Movie, we had Randy Scruggs and all the acoustic instruments in Broken Bridges I fell in love all over again with that real earthy, natural mandolin, dobro and a lot of the bluegrass instruments. And so I decided to do my Christmas album like that. I thought this was a way for me to step out and do something really different and have fun doing it, and hear these players and their instrumentation and how they see these classics, then we put my spin on stuff and just had a great time making the album. It's a double Christmas album, there's ten Christian Christmas songs and then there's ten seasonal Christmas songs."
Catch Toby's appearance on "Ellen" today, CBS "Early Show" (airing December 7) and "Larry King Live" (airing December 21). He will also be appearing in December on such television outlets as CNN, "The O'Reilly Factor" and "Geraldo at Large" on Fox News and "Extra" and on national radio as a guest on "The Glenn Beck Program" and "The Alan Colmes Show."
