Remember that old song, "Convoy?" Well, that's what Kenny Chesney is hitting the road with this summer, 55 Trucks and 28 Buses to carry 5000 Amps of sound, lighting, and a huge crew of band, sound, stage and lighting folks for his Poets & PIrates tour. That's the kind of kit you need to take along when your tour is stopping at 14 stadiums across the U.S.
They’ll also be bringing along a set list full of hits including the three smash hits from his Just Who I Am: Poets & Pirates album, “Never Wanted Nothing More,” “Don’t Blink” and the current duet with George Strait, “Shiftwork.”
“Yup,” laughs Chesney, whose Poets & Pirates Tour is being sponsored by no less than Corona Extra, “It's kinda crazy when we get to a city, all the backing up, turning around, unloading, parking, all that stuff is a lot like advanced geometry, but my guys know how to make it all fit. And it's amazing what it takes to make a show like that really happen.”
