TIM McGRAW APOLOGIZES TO FANS

Tim McGraw has apologized to his fans for Curb Records decision to release a greatest hits package instead of a new studio album this year.

To Release Greatest Hits 3

Tuesday, Tim McGraw, unhappy with initial sales of his 3rd Greastest Hits album and desiriing to release a new studio album this year, issued this statement of an apology to his fans for the decisions of his record company.

-Curb Records released a third hits package on Tim McGraw last week, a CD that was put into record stores without his involvement. McGraw has been working on a new studio album for over a year and debuted three new songs on this year’s “Live Your Voice Tour.”  It was his desire to have the new record out this fall but Curb wanted to release a greatest hits CD to extend McGraw’s recording contract term.

“I am saddened and disappointed that my label chose to put out another hits album instead of new music,” said Tim McGraw.  “I’ve only had one studio album since my last hits package.  It has to be just as confusing to the fans as it is to me. I had no involvement in the creation or presentation of this record. Sure I love the songs and I don’t want to take anything away from all the creative people who were a part of making those records.  But the whole concept is an embarrassment to me as an artist. In the spirit of an election year, I would simply say to my fans ‘I’m Tim McGraw and I don’t approve their message.’” -

TIM McGRAW HAS BOOK SIGNING IN BIG APPLE

Tim McGraw will be signing copies of "My Little Girl" at 6pm EST on October 23rd at the Barnes & Noble in New York on 555 Fifth Avenue at 46th Street. "My Little Girl" will be available for purchase at Barnes & Noble for $16.99.

SPEAKING OF LITTLE KIDS TIM WAS JUST A LITTLE KID WHEN HE FIRST SANG COUNTRY MUSIC

Tim McGraw reminds us that he was exposed to country music when he was just three years old.

"My stepdad drove, he was a cowboy and truckdriver, he drove an 18 wheeler during the cotton season and ginin' season and used to haul cotton seed from Louisiana to Texas, to Ft. Worth back and forth. So, when I was three, four and five years old before I started school I would be going on the road with him a lot on overnight trips and he had a sleeper cabin in back. So, he was a big country music fan and it's what his heritage was and mine was too," Tim recalls.

He adds, "I can remember he had Charlie Rich, and Charley Pride 8 tracks and Merle Haggard and I knew them and I'd sing at the top of my lungs riding down the road in an 18 wheeler hauling cotton seed across Texas and Louisiana four or five years old. So there's not a better country foundation than that I don't think. So, thats what I grew up doing just belting out singing to the radio."

KENNY WRITES SONG ON NEW ALBUM ABOUT HIS EX, RENEE

The Huffington Post reports that one of the songs on Kenny Chesney's new album, LUCKY OLD SUN, is one he wrote about the breakup of his marriage to actress, Renee Zellweger. The song is titled "Nowhere to Go, Nowhere to Be."

The  Post quoted Kenny's interview in where he says the song is an important song on the record.

"It's the root of the record, for sure. In 2006, I was probably as emotionally and mentally exhausted as I'd ever been. And that was due to a lot of things--having the foot on the gas pedal constantly, and my breakup with Renee Zellweger. I got in a plane and went down to the Virgin Islands. I was completely by myself. I didn't want to be around anybody. So the next thing you know, it's me and a pen and I sat down and wrote a lot of lines of this song, "Nowhere to Go, Nowhere to Be."

Kenny confessed that it took years to heal from the breakup," It was horrible. It took a while. Years. It's been since 2005."

Asked if he was dating anybody else now, Kenny said, "Oh, Yeah."

Keith Urban says when he first left Australia for North America, there was still an attitude in Australia of resentment toward Aussies that left to make their fortune in another country. Now, he says things have changed and he loves that he  and his wife Nicole Kidman can have residences on both continents.

"I’m still proud to be Australian and I make regular trips back there," Keith says. "And I think Australia is beginning to accept, OK, we should be more proud parents of our kids going out and achieving things instead of feeling miserable that we didn’t get to do it, which I think used to be the attitude."

DARIUS RUCKER RELEASES NEW SINGLE..."It Won't Be Like This For Long."

The second single from Darius Rucker's debut country album, Learn To Live, has been downloaded to radio, it's "It Won't Be Like This For Long."

Darius says that song came out of a co-writing session where he and the other writers were  talking about their kids.

"The song made me realize just how much I love my kids and they're the ones that really sacrifice because of my success because I'm gone all the time. My kids are 13, 7 and 3, Caroline, Daniella and Darius John, we call him Jack."

Darius said the song made the early list of possible singles when he played it out on his radio tour. "Every time we played it, people cried, so we realized it was touching people and probably should become a single."
