PAISLEY AND URBAN TOUR? SOMEDAY, SAYS BRAD
With Brad Paisley and Keith Urban recording together on Brad's Player album, and climbing the charts with their duet from the album, "Start a Band," it seems natural that Brad and Keith should hook up for a tour together. And, according to Brad he's sure they'll do that some day.
"We've toyed with that," says Brad. "One of these days we'd love to do a set of shows together. I don't know when that will be but we're old friends and we'd be like geeks in a guitar store when we're hanging out and that's what our tour would be like, so I think that would be a lot of fun."
____________________________ CRAIG MORGAN HOSTS FOURTH HOMETOWN CHARITY EVENT LAUNCHES THE CRAIG MORGAN FUND
Craig Morgan says he's set to fire up the 4 wheelers again this year when he will host the Craig Morgan Charity Ride. The event will be held on Tuesday, March 31st in his hometown of Dickson, Tenn. (40 miles west of Nashville) to benefit several local charities. The event includes a special acoustic concert, silent auction and a motocross and 4-wheeler ride and launches The Craig Morgan Fund, a broader manifestation of Craig’s former Xtreme Team Makeover initiative. Craig established The Craig Morgan Fund earlier this year to support youth-based local and national charities.
“I grew up around Dickson, and live there now – it’s a great place to raise a family,” says Craig. “But not all children are as fortunate as we’d like them to be, so this event is a fun way to get people together to raise money and awareness to help kids who really need it.” VIP ticket packages are available for $200 and include two tickets to the ride and concert, plus a meet and greet with Craig. Tickets for the ride are $35 and include an on-site barbeque lunch, with $10 spectator tickets also available. Concert tickets are $35. All tickets can be purchased through The Renaissance Center box office by calling 1-888-700-2300.
_______________________ JAMEY JOHNSON SINGLE SEMI-AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL PRECAUTIONARY TALE
Credit Neil Haislop Jamey Johnson's new single "The High Cost of Living," is a raw and frank look at somebody on the brink of life-destroying behavior...and he says it's somewhat autobiographical.
"It's the story about making bad decisions. It's somewhat autobiographical, it's not completely autobiographical," Jamey tells us.
When we asked how much autobiographical it was he said, "Well, Johnny Cash didn't have to kill a man in Reno to be able to relate to what a man would go through in Folsum prison. So, I didn't have to get busted with cocaine and a whore to appreciate what those guys must go through," Jamey points out. Then he confessed, "But I had already made it to a certain level where I knew I was maybe one or two decisions away, and that's what that story is about and knowing when to turn back, and that's the reason that song is on the album...it's a warning to the others. If you're following somebody down this path you might want to turn back right now."
